New beginnings
It’s been awhile since I wrote in this blog and for that, I apologize. But I have good news. In the interest of keeping myself fresh and learning new writing skills, I’ve decided to become a writer for AsiaMedia’s sister publication, Asia Pacific Arts (APA).
Actually, I’m looking forward to the opportunities APA will provide to both my writing and the evolution of this blog. But don’t worry. I’m not too worried about “diluting” the theme of this blog, because there is no overarching theme except one — me.
I may focus on substantive China stories, but that doesn’t mean I have to limit myself to my normal “beat.”
With that said, I will try to cover as many events on this blog as possible, whether it’s an academic conference on Asia or the latest Asian movie screening.
And speaking of movie screenings, I will be attending the Los Angeles Opening Night Screening Release Party for Mr. Sadman on November 20, 2009.
I have no expectations going into this premiere, so it should prove to be a great learning experience. Enjoy the song by Goh Nakamura.
Up and running
After nearly a month, I finally made headway and launched this blog. I’m still having trouble with WordPress, but that’s to be expected. It is almost 1 a.m. PST and I’m very tired. Good night.
